Isabella Wind supports local food banks, health workers in COVID-19 response

MT. PLEASANT, MI – April 29, 2020 – Isabella Wind and Apex Clean Energy are working with local non-profits, restaurants, and hospitals in Isabella County to support members of the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Working with Max & Emily's Bakery Café in Mt. Pleasant, Isabella Wind provided meals to nearly 200 staff at McLaren Central Michigan Hospital and MidMichigan Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant over the weekend.

“McLaren Central Michigan is incredibly grateful to Isabella Wind and Max & Emily’s for feeding our staff during this unprecedented time,” said Rachel Blizzard, Director of Marketing and Fund Development for McLaren Central Michigan. “We truly appreciate the food, but even more, we appreciate knowing organizations such as Isabella Wind support us and have our backs - thank you!”

Isabella Wind has also made donations to local food pantries to help support Isabella County families who are struggling financially due to the coronavirus and related shutdowns. Organizations receiving support include the Community Compassion Network Food Bank in Mt. Pleasant, the REAP Food Pantry in Rosebush, and The Care Store.

The Rosebush Ecumenical Assistance Program provides meals twice a month to clients and is open every Thursday from 9:00 – 11:00am at 4079 E. Vernon Rd. in Rosebush. For more information contact the food bank at (989) 433-2957.

The Community Compassion Network Food Bank will be open next on Wednesday May 6th from 2:00pm – 6:00pm and Saturday May 9th from 9:00am – 12:00pm at 1114 W High Street in Mount Pleasant. More information can be found at ccnfeeds.org.
